Kapaa is one of the rare places where modest plantation-style beachfront homes can still be found. Condos occupy much of Kapaa’s coastline along with larger territorial-style homes with broad lanais. On both sides of Kuhio Hwy., the houses in town reflect the plantation styles of the former territorial era.
