Along Oahu's Windward Coast, Hauula is a typical oceanside country town with bungalows, plantation-style single-story, and two-story island-style homes. Above Kamehameha Hwy., homes on various sizes of lots line country roads. At higher elevations, custom homes on spacious lots have lovely views of the ocean. Along Hauula’s coast, a variety of home styles occupy the narrow band of oceanfront properties along the beaches. Farther north, as the highway heads slightly inland, modest neighborhoods are on the makai (ocean) side, with some homes tucked right on the coast. Oceanfront condos are a few miles south in Punaluu.
