One Ala Moana is a 23-story condominium that rests directly above the Ala Moana Center parking garage. This building was designed by local architectural company Benjamin Woo Architects in conjunction with Solomon Cordwell Buenz (which is based in California). 205 units have been constructed across 2 towers, which have appropriately been named Diamond Head and Ewa.
One Ala Moana features 1-bedroom (from 761 to 877 square feet), 2-bedroom (from 1,159 to 1,461 square feet), and 3-bedroom floorplans (at approximately 1,791 square feet). Additionally, the penthouse consists of larger 3-bedroom units that are 1,791 to 2,651 square feet). A majority of the 2-bedroom units boast ocean views, while the 1-bedroom units feature mountain views. The 3-bedroom units give you the best of both worlds, with ocean views from the living room and mountain views from the bedroom.
Since the towers are separated, this leaves about 14 units per floor, with only 7 units per wing. The penthouse features just 4 units, as they are larger in size. This design is perfect for people who want to live in the middle of everything but also want to have a little bit of privacy as well. In fact, the concrete steel towers of One Ala Moana, as well as the lobbies, elevators, parking garage, and recreation deck, are all secured to keep them private for the residents. Access from one tower to the other is only available through the terrace level.
Like many of the newer developments in the area, One Ala Moana is an eco-friendly building. Dual-paned windows with low emissivity glass will help keep the central air conditioning within your home. Additionally, your hot water will be heated through the air conditioning heat return, with in-unit hot water recirculation. This means that you’ll be able to take a hot shower without having to wait long for the water to warm up, and you’ll also save money on your monthly bills!
Units within One Ala Moana include 9-foot ceilings, with floor-to-ceiling windows for enjoying your view of the ocean or mountains (or both, if you are in a larger unit). These homes are elevated by the beautiful sliding glass doors and hardwood flooring in the entryway, kitchen, and living rooms.
In the kitchen, you’ll find Kohler plumbing fixtures with classic quartz countertops and Studio Becker cabinets. Some of the units have wine coolers included, so you can chill your wine without having to take up room in the refrigerator. Appliance brands include Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Miele kitchen appliances. While the washer and dryer units are not included, there is sufficient space in the condo to install full-sized units, if desired.

The shopping center frequently hosts seasonal, themed markets featuring local crafts and goods, and there are also scheduled events with live music. Outside of the Ala Moana Shopping Center, the area around One Ala Moana is very walkable, with easy access to the bus stop.
