About Aeo

Architect and designer Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has developed the 3rd tower building in Ward Village, Aeo. This building rests on top of the Whole Foods Market and offers residents covered access directly into the store, which is perfectly convenient for grabbing groceries. Aeo is on the second row in Ward Village and features views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head.

Completed at the end of 2018, the Aeo units are still pretty new! With over 30 different floor plan options, finding the perfect home is easy. Aeo features a total of 466 condominiums, with 47 studios, 182 1-bedroom units, 177 2-bedroom units, and 60 3-bedroom units. There are also penthouse units, which are the largest and most luxurious homes in the building.

Most of the residences at Aeo offer 8 foot, 8 inch ceilings in the living rooms and bedrooms, while the penthouse options have ceilings approaching 10 feet in the living and bedrooms and 9 feet in the kitchen and bathrooms. Each unit includes oak wood flooring in the living and kitchen areas (which can also be upgraded to cover the whole home, including the bedrooms). Kitchens include Bosch appliances with Grohe fixtures and an induction cooktop.

Homeowners at Aeo will be able to choose between light and dark finishes throughout the condo, allowing for additional customization that caters to individual taste. I personally love the floor-to-ceiling windows, which feature incredible views of the ocean. The best views in this building are arguably on the east (Diamond Head) side of the building. Buyers may want to look for units that include angled windows (which are able to be opened) because they highlight the views of the ocean. Keep in mind that ʻAʻaliʻi, another building within the development, does inhibit the ocean views for some of the units.

Parking is easy at Aeo, as residents will have access to a parking structure with stalls. Residents living in studio apartments and select units (depending on the location within the building) will have access to 1 stall per unit, while a majority of the condos will come with access to 2 stalls. Originally, the studio units at Aeo were selling at prices starting in the low $400,000s, while the penthouse options were listed for over $2,000,000. This range in pricing reflects excellent investment opportunities for singles and families looking to purchase a home.

Floor Plans

Aeo offers a total of 33 different floor plans, where the studios come with upgrades. You can see the range of square footage by unit below or view every floor plan here.

Amenities at Aeo

The amenity deck at Aeo makes me envious of its residents! It includes a lap pool just for adults as well as an additional pool that is available to both adults and children. The deck also includes 6 covered cabanas for dining and a plethora of lounge chairs for relaxing. There is a huge dog run area for your pets, which is great for times when you need to take the dog out but don’t feel like taking a whole walk around the block.

One of the best parts of the deck is the climate controlled gym. This space includes a traditional indoor gym as well as an outside area, which is perfect for when you want to enjoy spending some additional time in the sun. There is also an area for yoga as well as steam and sauna rooms. At Aeo, you’ll be able to nurture your spiritual and physical health without having to purchase a separate gym membership!

Additional amenities at Aeo include a small, personal movie theater, a karaoke room, and a private kitchen and dining room. These amenities are wonderful for entertaining friends and family. In fact, the deck also features 3 guest suites, so your visitors can relax comfortably in their own, private spaces at the end of the night.

Neighborhood Features

Some of the best features at Aeo are related to its amazing location and the availability of many conveniences right outside of the building. Aeo is situated close to numerous parks, restaurants, and shopping centers. Residents are able to walk or bike to Ala Moana Beach Park and the Ala Moana Shopping Center for hours of fun with the family. In fact, Ward Village in itself is quite walkable and even features bike lanes to help promote safety and convenience for bikers.

With limitless options for outdoor recreational activities, coupled with community-centered events and activities, Aeo offers plenty of options for spending time with your loved ones in an area with a beautiful backdrop. If you like to have plenty of things to do in your own community but prefer a bit of space from the big city life, Aeo may be the right pick for you!

Ward Village

Aeo is just one of the many buildings that make up the Ward Village community. This master-planned development has been carefully designed with beautiful homes that are close to restaurants, stores, and recreational activities. In fact, Architectural Digest has named Ward Village the “Best-Planned Community in the United States.” Additionally, in 2018, the National Association of Home Builders deemed Ward Village as the “Master Planned Community of the Year.” Given the location, design features, and amenities accessible within Ward Village, it is not surprising that this development has received these types of awards.

The community stretches across 60 acres of land. It is perfectly nestled between the ocean and the Koolau Mountains, featuring beautiful views and a strong sense of community. Ward Village has demonstrated its commitment to Hawaii by donating over $3.7 million to community organizations that focus on culture, education, and environmental initiatives. Furthermore, Ward Village is the only LEED-ND Platinum neighborhood in the state, meaning that the community has a low impact on the environment due to its efficient design. The community is dotted with trees, with sidewalks that promote safe walking and jogging, with dedicated bike lanes for getting around town.

Another aspect that makes Ward Village feel like home is the inclusion of works of art from local artists throughout the community. When walking around the development, you’ll notice beautiful murals and sculptures that reflect the beauty and culture of Hawaii. At Ward Village, you and your family will feel like you fit right in, especially if you value environmental sustainability, local culture, and outdoor recreation.
