Aulu: Perusing the Options

A’ulu is a neighborhood within the Hoopili master-planned development that includes duplexes and single-family homes with 3-5 bedrooms. Floor plans are open-concept and vary across the homes, with sizes ranging from 1,108 through 2,004 square feet. The community offers 8 different floor plans, and home buyers will have both single level and split-level options.

For buyers looking to host extended families or even earn additional rental income, there are plans that include an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). These units provide a separate living area and kitchenette for renters or family members to have their own space within the home. Both the kitchen and bathroom(s) feature vinyl flooring. Secondary bathrooms include a shower/tub combination, while master bathrooms (in some of the plans) include dual sinks. Similarly, some floor plans also include a walk-in closet in the master bedroom.

A’ulu homes are electric vehicle and electric or gas-dryer ready. They may also include smart home features, such as SkyBell video doorbells. Potential buyers can gather more information on the specifics of their desired unit and its available features.

Pricing is higher in A’ulu compared to other communities within Hoopili, and this is mainly due to the increased size of the homes as well as the inclusion of slab-on-grade construction and enclosed garages. One benefit of living in A’ulu is that the association fee is only $59 per month (as of 2022), which is the same across Hoopili. No additional monthly association fees are required for living in the A’ulu neighborhood.

They are now available for resale (previously owned).

Getting Around Hoopili

The Hoopili development has plans for 3 different Honolulu rail stations, making it convenient to travel without even having to use a car. If staying within the development, the A’ulu neighborhood is situated in walking or biking distance of the park, toddler playgrounds, and recreational facilities that offer perks such as gyms and swimming pools.

A’ulu is located close to Foodland and Longs Grocery, so you’ll never have to go far to pick up the foods you need. There are also plans for additional on-site grocery stores. The Hoopili community provides easy access to farmers’ markets so that you can stock up on fresh, locally-grown foods.

Future plans for Hoopili include the development of additional schools, parks, and recreation centers. Ideally, members of the Hoopili community will not need to leave the development to meet any of their basic needs, with options for walking or biking to school, work, parks, pools, and grocery stores.

Off-site areas of interest that are near the Hoopili development include both indoor and outdoor activities. Take a walk down White Plains Surfing Beach or explore one of the numerous hiking trails in the area. Shoppers will love the Ka Makana Ali'i Shopping Mall, which is full of restaurants and shops to explore. This shopping center also includes a luxe movie theater.
